Senior Sourcing SpecialistPURPOSE:Key responsibilities include vendor relationship management for assigned suppliers, providing analysis and technology solutions, and evaluating vendors' performance metrics and follow up on corrective actions after Factory Audits.As the senior role, this position provides guidance and mentorship to help team members to grow.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:◆ Provide sourcing and costing planning for region. Gather and interprets relevant data (sourcing, costing, productivity, demand patterns, material planning, capacity planning etc.) and makes recommendations for solutions.◆ Implementing sourcing and costing strategies, monitor implementation status and flag concerns/issues. Proactively make suggestions to improve existing process and work flow.◆ Source and develop production partners. Manage the production partner Identification, Qualification, Profiling and Compliance process.◆ Carry out Production Partner Factory Audits as requested by Brand customers and for internal qualification process.◆ Provide sourcing and costing advice and production options and solutions with costs professionally and timely in pre-sales process.◆ Attend Project Kickoff Meetings. Calculate target price for RFQ, Describe and translate terms and target price to production partner.◆ Request, receive and analyze quotes. Negotiate terms and price with production partners. Propose final production partner with analysis and reasoning for Supervisor’s final decision. Review and propose adjustment in project allocation to supervisor.◆ Provide costing information (either cost estimates or RFQ costing) to internal sales or project team after project kick-off. Review, negotiate, confirm and communicate price changes when product or material specification changes.◆ After business confirmation, ask production partners to make paperboard sample per quoted paper combination if necessary. Follow paperboard testing up until paper combination passes testing and price is approved. Notify Project team to follow up on First Article sample.◆ Conduct and manage regular and ad hoc costing and service standards review with production partners. Maintain and update cost estimation tools.◆ Evaluate and manage production partner performance and drive action for improvement.◆ Coordinate between production partners and Sales / Project Management / CSR teams for on-time delivery of materials. Maintain close working relationships with all internal departments to ensure efficiency and objectives are met.◆ Coordinate with local Sales, Technical and QA team for all quality issues and claim assessment, work together to develop resolution.◆ Raw material tracking and analysis.◆ Provide all variety of business analysis reports for management as requested.◆ Management the partnership with production partners for more synergy and leverage in cost negotiations and achieve win-win situation. Resolve issues and conflicts for vendors and customers. Make factory visits on need basis for problem resolution or relationship building.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:◆ Four years of degree education with 5+ years working experience in supply chain management or sourcing.◆ Good English both written and spoken.◆ Excellent interpersonal and decision making skills with proven ability to analyze problems independently develop solutions and present solutions and rationale for final approval.◆ Proven ability to multi task and prioritize responsibilities. Must possess the ability to manage workload in a fast paced environment with competing demands and shifting priorities without compromising quality of work product.◆ Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.◆ Proven ability to collect and perform data analysis. Capable of manipulating data quickly and presenting it in a comprehensible report.◆ Must be assertive and tactful while persuading global team members to act in a timely fashion. Not afraid to hold others accountable. Must have demonstrated strong conflict resolution skills.◆ Excellent PC knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).◆ Able to make factory visits frequently based on business needs.
