Northern China German Auto (“NCGA” or “the Company”) is a wholly owned foreign company that owns and operates luxury automobile dealerships in the People’s Republic of China. The Company is controlled by the McLarty Group, a leading international auto dealership business founded in 1921, which acquired majority control of the business from Citigroup in October 2009 in partnership with strategic industry and financial partners including MileOne Automotive and Interamericana Trading. The NCGA headquarters is located in Beijing
NCGA originally served as the authorized importer and wholesale distributor for BMW AG throughout northern China and has operated franchised BMW dealerships since 1994 and currently operates MINI and Volvo franchises too. NCGA operates dealerships in Beijing, Dalian, Xian and Urumqi and is currently the second largest BMW dealer in China. The Company employs more than 1,000 people and estimates 2009 revenue to surpass R$5.5 billion (or US$800million).
The dealership business model includes sales of new vehicles, servicing and maintenance, sales of used vehicles, body shop and ancillary business such as auto financing, accessories and insurance. NCGA dealerships offer a full range of imported and domestically-manufactured BMW, MINI and Volvo products. NCGA’s sites are equipped with the latest automobile diagnostic systems and advanced facilities for vehicle repair and maintenance, which are directly imported from Germany. The technical and sales staff are professionally trained and qualified according to the BMW AG worldwide standards.
The objective of NCGA is to become the indisputable benchmark for overall quality and performance among luxury dealerships in China. The Company will grow organically and through the auto manufacturers awarding NCGA new franchises in recognition of the best practices and capabilities of the Company. To achieve these simple yet challenging goals, the immediate focus is to strengthen the current organization and build a world-class management team.
